J. Andrew Velez, Esq.
An experienced plaintiff's personal injury attorney with more than 30 years of successfully representing hundreds of clients in personal injury cases including, automobile/truck/bus accidents, bicycle/motorcycle accidents, fall downs, dog bites, food poisoning, wrongful death, and cases involving paralysis, brain damage, burns, disfigurement, and the “Dram Shop Act.”
A partial representation of Andrew’s prior successes includes:
-
Arbitration Award $1,500,000 for a client who fractured his spine when an unidentified motorist changed lanes and hit the client’s vehicle causing it to veer off the road and hit a pole.
-
Jury Award $217,900 for a client whose car was rear-ended. She required two surgeries on her knee and back three years post-accident. The insurance company initially denied her claim, not because of the minor damage to the car but because the surgeries were too remote in time.
-
Settlement $120,000 for a client with two disc herniations and two epidural injections.
The settlement was reached on the eve of the trial.
Andrew Velez earned his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1985 and his B.A., cum laude, from SUNY College at Old Westbury in 1982.
